This Thursday, our beautiful state will celebrate her 180th birthday. Join in by appreciating and learning about things you may not have noticed or known about around the state this week. One easy way to say yes to Michigan is to support our local artists here at the Dancing Eye Gallery who have crafted many Michigan-themed items!

The Dancing Eye Gallery can, once again, offer personalized baby and wedding plaques–now by one of our newest companies: Polka Dot Mitten. Choose from one of the three designs above. Colors are limited to those shown, BUT, you may select your state and, of course, the names and dates! Orders only take about 2 weeks and can be shipped directly from the artist. They are priced at $52.

Polka Dot Mitten is a company started by Saugatuck artist Katie Doucette. Her artwork focuses on whimsical, handmade home decor.

We also have a nice selection of Katie’s adorable signs plus a few more items. Come on in!

Tee See Tee?

How did an obsession with T-shirts as a young boy turn into a very lucrative career designing and printing very cool T-shirts? Well, it did for Beau Warren, owner of Tee See Tee. (He lives in Traverse City–get it? And you can read his story on his website.) Some of his shirts have arrived in Northville at the Dancing Eye Gallery for all you “Michiganerds,” as he terms it.

Come and see them!! It’s cool to be a nerd! Especially one from Michigan!
